Raila Odinga dies while in India.

Raila Odinga, a respected statesman who led Kenya as prime minister during the late 2000s and into the 2010s, has reportedly died at the age of 80.
Odinga died Wednesday in southern India, Kenya's The Standard reported, citing his family.
The Devamatha Hospital in Kerala confirmed Odinga died at the facility in a phone call with The New York Times.
"Raila Odinga was a towering figure in Kenya's political life and a steadfast champion of democracy, good governance and people-centered development," Mahmoud Ali Youssouf, chairperson of the African Union Commission," said in a statement after learning of Odinga's death. "Africa has lost one of its most visionary sons; a leader who dedicated his life to the pursuit of justice, democracy and unity. His legacy will continue to inspire our collective efforts to build a peaceful, prosperous and democratic Africa."
The Standard had reported that Odinga suffered a heart attack during a morning walk at an ayurvedic hospital and was rushed to Devamatha Hospital where he was pronounced dead at about 9 a.m. local time.
